He was born September 2, 1927 in Kingsville, to Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo (Isabel) Garcia.
Garcia was a retired machine operator for Krafts General Foods in Houston and a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include wife of 54 years, Elida L. Garcia of Kingsville; two sons, Vidal (Juni) Garcia Jr. of San Antonio, Eduardo Garcia of Kingsville; one daughter, Glenda (Noe) Perez of Kingsville; one brother, Alonzo Garcia Sr. of Kingsville; one sister, Guillerma Guerrero of Kingsville; 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 9, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, Chapel A at 7:00 p.m.
A funeral mass will be Monday, September 10, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church with Father Paul Puthenangady officiating.
Burial will be in Kingsville at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery.
