She was born March 3, 1920, to Lillie Virginia and Dow Nix of Kingsville.
Survivors include one daughter, Ginger (Glen) Whittington of Corpus Christi; two sons, Gary (Gail) Tate, Ronnie (Mary Jane) Tate, both of Mathis; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five sisters: Vesta Jennings of Portland, Evelyn Dean of Kingsville, Doris (James) McNeil of Dayton, Ohio, Darlene Wright of San Lorenzo, Calif., Connie (Donald) Clark of Odessa; two brothers, Carl William Nix of Portland, and Harrel D. Nix of Kingsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 4 with a chapel service at 10 a.m. at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at Rosehill Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
