She was born on Aug. 3, 1932, to Era Louis and Fannie McTaggart in Bishop. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Schneider of Riviera, her son, David Brian Soward of Mooris, Utah; a daughter, Rhonda Jean (Steve) Soward-Watzlavick of Victoria, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren; six sisters, Edwina Poland of Refugio, Ernestine (Floyd) Hoff and Mignyonne (Tom) Kyle, both of Mathis, La Vonne (Charlie) Wells of Kansas, Charlotte (Norm) Swoboda of Victoria, and Carolyn Arnold of Corpus Christi; brother, David Earl McTaggart of Refugio and several nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 13 at Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Vattmann.
Burial followed in Vattmann Cemetery.
