He was born March 9, 1924, in Mission, to Arturo and Anita Rodriguez Buentello.
Buentello was a law enforcement officer for the city of Mathis and the Robstown Constable Pct. 5 office, a retired airplane maintenance worker for the Navel Base, one of the founders of Lagarto Community Church in Sandia and proudly served our country during WWII in the United States Navy.
Survivors include one daughter, Vickki (Marvin) Buentello Miller of Sandia; one son, David Richard Buentello of Kingsville; 11 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service was held August 6, at Ramon Funeral Home Chapel in Robstown.
The funeral service was conducted August 7, at Templo Jerusalem Assemblea de Dios.
