She was born on Sept. 22, 1949, in Corpus Christi, to Julian Ruiz and Carolina Garcia Ruiz.
She was employed with H.E.B. in the meat department. Later Rodriguez was employed as a housekeeper with Christus Spohn Hospital Kleberg.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include by her husband, Roberto G. Rodriguez Sr. of Kingsville; two sons, Michael Guerra of Dallas and Roberto (Michelle) Rodriguez Jr. of Kingsville; two daughters, Veronica “Ronnie” Rodriguez of Kingsville and Virginia (Daniel) Vela of Corpus Christi; three brothers, Jose Ruiz, Rene A. Ruiz and Eliazar Ruiz, all of Wisconsin; seven sisters, Criselda R. Castro of Kingsville, Martha Ruiz, Marisela Sierra, Mary Lou Ruiz and Noelia Lisa Morales, all of Chicago, Ill., Diana Garcia of Michigan and Norma Linda Ruiz of San Antonio; and six grandchildren.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Aug. 2 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel in Kingsville.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 3 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Romeo Salinas as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Kingsville at the Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.
