She was born Nov. 18, 1915, to O.C. and Ella Burgess.
She was Head Librarian Emeritus of Amber University. A lifelong member of the Church of Christ she worshiped many years with the Austin Street Church in Garland, before moving to Farmington. She was a bible scholar and a gifted bible teacher. She was a member of the Farmington Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Don Foster of Fayetteville, Ark, and Bob Foster of Lawrence, Kan.; one daughter, Carol Jean Harris of Lubbock; ten grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be held at 2 p.m. July 9 at Restland Cemetery in Bishop.
The family suggests a donation to a Christian charity in lieu of flowers.
Turcotte-Piper Mortuary is in-charge of local arrangements.
