Mary Evelyn Hoover - Mary Evelyn Hoover passed away June 30, 2007 in Corpus Christi at the age of 70. She was born in 1936 in Albany, Georgia as one of eight children of Perry Jackson Clark and Minnie Estelle Holland. Evelyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Evelyn loved spending time with her family. She cherished her family gatherings. She was loved by her family and all who met her. Evelyn is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years James C. Hoover. She is survived by her sons, James Hoover and his wife Tina of Kingsville, Texas, and Michael Hoover of Houston, Texas; daughter, Cindy Levine and her husband Scott of Corpus Christi; three of her seven siblings, Jesse Derrell Clark, Gracie Clark King, and Joan Clark Sammons; grandchildren, April Taylor, Christopher Hoover, Jennifer Ross, and Alan Levine; great-grandchildren, Mack Taylor, Ian Taylor, and Abigail Ross; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Monday, July 2, 2007 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Chapel service was held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary. Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd., Kingsville, Texas.
