La Posada donation kicks off Yuletide planning

Daniel Morales, left, and Bob Kinnan, right, representing King Ranch and the annual Ranch Hand Breakfast, presented a check for $4000 to Becky Huss, La Posada coordinator, to assist in funding this year’s La Posada de Kingsville Christmas celebration. Community will be seeing a new event for La Posada. The Ranch Hand Breakfast held at King Ranch each year starts of the three-week La Posada celebration on Nov. 17. The traditional cowboy breakfast, cooked over open fires by King Ranch Kineños and community volunteers, attracts thousands of visitors each year from throughout the region and the entire United States. The colorful Parade of Lights will be held in historic downtown Kingsville on Dec. 1. Other La Posada activities include the Children’s Breakfast with Santa on Dec. 1 at Linda’s Main Street Café and the annual Christmas Tour of Homes on Dec. 2.
